MLB announced its 2006 NL Gold Gloves and the Rockies best shot at an award, and a deserving one in Jamey Carroll, was denied in favor of the D-backs' Orlando Hudson. One thing the Rockies will have going for them next season is good defense at the middle infield positions, first base and catcher, if only we could be as confident elsewhere around the diamond.
