Colorado Springs: The Sky Sox won last night with help throughout the lineup. OF Ryan Spillborghs continued his hot hitting with 2 doubles, Jeff Baker and Jayson Nix chipped in two RBI each, and J.D. Closser hit his first homerun this season. 1B Carlos Rivera had 5 RBI, 4 of those coming off a grand slam in the 9th. Zach McClellan picked up the win.
Tulsa: Jordan Czarniecki came up big again with a walk-off 3-run homerun in the 11th yesterday. Ian Stewart notched 2 doubles in 4 ABs. Steven Register pitched 6 strong innings and K'ed 7. Josh Newman recorded his first win of the season after pitching the last two innings of the game.
Modesto: Scott Dohmann made his second rehab start and took the loss. Franklin Morales came in after the 1st to pitch 4 innings and allowed 4 runs (1 earned), walking 4, and K'ing 5. Matt Miller contributed the two RBI for the Nuts on a double and a SF and Justin Nelson was the only other player to have multiple hits.
Asheville: Phillip Cuadrado had 4 RBI, three off a 1st inning homer. The batting order changed and everyone except Jason Van Kooten and John Restrepo had at least one hit. P Alan Johnson had another great start with 6 IP, 8 Ks, 1 ER and the win.
