Game #1: Arizona Diamondbacks @ Colorado Rockies

I'm putting this up now because I won't have access to a computer until right before the game begins on the 'morrow.

Start time: 2:05 MT, 4:05 ET for me.

Expected Starters:
Arizona: Brandon Webb (2005: 14-12, 3.54 ERA)
Colorado: Jason Jennings (2005: 6-9, 5.02 ERA)

Prediction:
I think Jennings will start out shaky for the first few innings, but will settle down in the fourth once Todd Helton hits a home run in the bottom of the third. Jennings winds up going six innings, giving up 3 runs in the process, but leaves with a two-run lead. The bullpen has an impressive debut and Fuentes notches the save in a 6-3 victory.

Not quite as dramatic as last year's first game, but a win is a win.

Update [2006-4-3 19:19:4 by Rox Fan in NY]: Rockies win 3-2 in 11 innings off a Brad Hawpe hit. Mike DeJean picks up the win.
