Right before a sloppy eight to seven win versus the Marlins, the Rockies announced that Josh Fogg's sideburns -a key component of the team's early success- had been traded to Cincinnati for a player to be named later or a Rollie Finger-esque moustache, should any of their players decide to grow one. The Reds immediately assigned the sideburns to their AAA affiliate, the Louisville Bats, where they will mostly work out of the bullpen.
The Rockies, meanwhile, insured a winning record in their third road series (out of four) of the season by taking advantage of four Marlins errors and then hanging on through two big Florida comebacks to win by one. Matt Holliday, Cory Sullivan and Garrret Atkins all had big nights for the Rox and Brian Fuentes notched a nerve racking save after getting into some trouble in the ninth. Tomorrow the Rockies can get their second road sweep of the season with a win.
