Thursday Pebble Report

Colorado Springs: Jorge Piedra went 3-for-3 with a walk. That's about it for the offense. Mike Esposito took his 4th loss of the season and K'ed 8.

Tulsa: Read this story for a recap.

Modesto: The Nuts won this one with help from the oppsoition's 4 errors. Matt Miller now has 44 RBI and Duke Sardinha collected 4 more to up his total to 25. Luis Apodaca made his Nuts debut, but he's nothing more than roster filler, in terms of potential. Jake Postlewait didn't have the best of outings as he went 4 innings, gave up 6 H and 3 ER, walked three and K'ed 1.

Asheville: Not a great start by Chaz Roe as he went 4 innings, gave up 5 hits, 3 ER, but walked 1 and K'ed 3. He also hit a batter. Buzz Vargas and Byron Binda were quite worse as they combined to allow 12 runs. The offense went silent in the 15-0 loss, but Fowler and Nelson each collected a hit. Kyle Blumenthal hit a double.
