As the Dogers fell to the Angels yesterday, so did the Rockies to the Mariners as we all know. Both are a game and a half out of first place behind the Padres, who split a double-header yesterday with the Giants. It won't be easy for the Giants to win as they go up against Chris Young who has a 0.93 ERA in his last six starts. That stretch of six games began against the Rockies in May.
For the Rockies, Jennings starts July by coming off a pretty good June. He was 3-1 in 5 starts and failed to reach 7 innings only once (he went 5 1/3 in a start against the Dodgers).
Jennings faces lefty Jarrod Washburn, who did not have the greatest June. He allowed 4 or more runs in 4 of his 5 June starts.
Update [2006-7-2 17:42:1 by Rox Girl]:
According to MLB's online store, Matt Holliday will be the only Rockies All-Star rep, as his is the only jersey they're selling.
Rosters officially announced: Fuentes going too!
