Pre-season Game #1: Broncos @ Detroit - Oh, I mean, Game #115: Hill vs. Cook

I'll admit that I'm more interested in how Jay Cutler performs in a preseason game than the result of this game against the Cubs. And how Mike Bell performs. . . ok practically everything the team does against the Lions.

And I'll also be watching Eli Manning during the Giants game and D'Brickashaw Ferguson in the Jets game, among some other players.

But on to the Rockies game now. For the Cubbies, Hill is coming off back-to-back starts and he won both of them. He combined for fifteen Ks and fifteen innnings in the two starts.

As for the Cook, since July he's had seven starts and recorded one victory and one loss with a 5.08 ERA. The win and the loss have come in his last two starts respectively.

And check out Al Yellon's Bleed Cubbie Blue for the Cubs view of this series.

Update [2006-8-11 19:39:52 by Rox Girl]:

The recall of Ryan Spilborghs for Jorge Piedra was made official, and the offense has taken one pretty large step forward.
