Brandon Hynick was named Pitcher of the Year in the Pioneer League. Hector Gomez made the post-season All-Star team with Hynick.

The Springs: Jeff Baker hit his 15th home run (a solo shot) and drove in two in the loss. Mike Esposito allowed four runs and ten hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Tulsa: Seth Smith hit his fourth triple and that was about it for Tulsa.

Modesto: Five Nuts pitchers combined to give up 13 runs last night for a loss. Ching-Lung Lo started, lasted for four innings, and allowed six runs on nine hits. He struck out four and walked one.

Asheville: On only four hits, the Tourists were able to score 10 runs. Philip Cuadrado hit two grand slams (one in the first, one in the second) for eight of the team's runs. Cole Garner and Kyle Blumenthal had the other RBI. Dex Fowler stole his 41st base and walked three times. Eric Young walked twice. Xavier Cedeno struck out six and walked four.

Tri-City: Jeff Kindel drove in the only Dust Devil run last night in the loss. He also walked twice. Andrew Kreidermacher went seven, struck out five and allowed three runs on eight hits.

Casper: Ronny Lopez must be thankful that the season is about to end as he fell to 1-10 last night. He allowed nine runs on ten hits in three innings.
