Friday Pebble Report:

I'll put the PuRPs poll up this afternoon and knowing how the site tends to experience a big drop of visits on Saturdays and Sundays, we'll keep voting open through the extended weekend, with the deadline being Monday at 7:05 p.m. Mountain time.

Tulsa: You can tell by the way they walk... er... well at Least the Drillers stayed alive in the Texas League playoffs last night, beating Wichita six to nothing to extend the series to a fourth game. Steven Register came up with a big outing when he had too, pitching five scoreless frames and Judd Songster, Jentry Beckstead and Josh Newman completed the shutout. Ian Stewart also came through, with two hits, including a third inning homerun. Jonathan Herrera brought some of our speedy 2006 A-ball mojo, with three bunt singles.

Seth Smith gets some attention in the RMN.

Casper: The Rockies concluded their season on a high note, with an eight to four win in a game shortened to five innings by a power outage caused by  Maruis Loupadiere's light tower shot. Alright, I'm just kidding about the cause of the outage. The Rockies managed just four hits, but two of them were HR's, the one from Maruis and a three run first inning blast from Jay Cox.
