Rodrigo Lopez:

New, comments

We paid what? Alright, basically operating under the assumption that any price paid for Rodrigo Lopez is likely to be too much, we got had regardless of who we sent over. Jason Burch and Jim Miller, apparently, was the price that we'll be mocked for paying. You don't believe me? Look at how ecstatic they are at Camden Chat, an Orioles blog. Okay, so maybe two minor league relievers would be about as close to fair as you could get, but I wonder if we couldn't have gotten Roddy anyway when the O's cut him in Spring.

Right now, the Rockies have depth in the bottom of their rotation, but the pitchers are either inexperienced or looked terrible in 2006 or both. It's not exactly a comfortable position to be in heading into the start of 2007.
