Scouting Report / Bio: One of the most exciting pitchers in the Rockies system, Lindsay is a notorious strikeout artist and a true power pitcher. Lindsay's arsenal features a 94-96 mph fastball, an impressive power curveball and a mediocre changeup. He has an extreme high-overhand delivery and creates a lot of movement on his pitches. In order to have a successful career, Lindsay must overcome two big issues: injuries and control. Lindsay underwent surgery to repair a partially torn labrum in November of 2006 and is expected to miss the first half of the 2007 season. In addition to his labrum issues, Lindsay has also been diagnosed with scoliosis(a curvature of the spine), which may cause long term injury concerns. He will begin the season rehabbing in extended spring training, before joining Tri-City in July and eventually pitching for Modesto late in the season.
Future Outlook: Control problems and injuries make Lindsay's future murky, but he currently projects as a future setup-man or closer.
