yesterday's victory unfortunately brings up a quandary the Rockies weren't wanting to face so early in having to replace Rodrigo Lopez. It seems Taylor Buchholz is getting the early buzz to replace Lopez in the rotation, and the hope is that it will only have to be for a start or two. The nature of the complaint in the elbow doesn't seem to be too serious, according tot he linked article by Tracy Ringolsby:
He said he felt he would be out "at least two weeks," but he had some hope because he said the trainers told him the problem was a muscle issue, not structural.
The Rockies aren't the only team suffering through a rash of injuries, at least we're one of the few that hasn't seemed to be too derailed by them, as Dave Krieger points out.
