Monday Pebble Report

Colorado Springs: Once again, the game was postponed due to snow.

Tulsa, W 8-5: Ching-Lung Lo had a rough first inning in his first AA start but pitched effectively for the next five to pick up the win. He walked two and struck out two. Steven Register recorded his first save of the season and struck out one batter in the process. Jonathan Herrera collected two hits and one stolen base, while Joe Gaetti had three hits, including a double. Rick Guarno had one hit in one AB, a double, but drove in his other run with a sac fly.

Modesto, W 3-2: Randy Johnson didn't faze the Nuts all that much yesterday afternoon as the Nuts were able to get two runs off him before he left after the sixth. Chris Nelson scored one of the runs against Johnson and eventually crossed home plate in the 9th to give the Nuts the victory. Jeff Kindel and Phil Cuadrado both hit doubles. Brandon Hynick started the game, went six strong innings, allowed no earned runs on five hits and struck out six. Pedro Strop struck out two in two innings.

Asheville, L 1-5: Things could have gone better for Aneury Rodriguez in his full-season debut. In 4 2/3 IP, he allowed four runs on nine hits. But on a better note he allowed only one walk and struck out four. Daniel Mayora and Michael Paulk collected three hits but only one RBI among the two (Paulk).
