Colorado Springs, W 7-6: Edwin Bellorin hit a three-run homer in the Sky Sox's five-run third inning. Joe Koshansky doubled in the two other runs scored that inning. Ian Stewart had his first triple of the season an inning earlier and Bellorin drove him in on a ground out. Clint Barmes drove in the winning run on a single in the sixth inning.

Jorge De Paula had a rough outing as he gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings and allowed 11 hits. He walked and struck out none and had two wild pitches. Four of the 11 hits went for extra bases, two doubles, a triple and a home run to lead off the game.

Tulsa: No games scheduled for the TL.

Modesto: No games scheduled for the Cal League.

Asheville, L 5-6: Aneury Rodriguez allowed five runs in his second straight start and had some mixed results overall. He went five innings and allowed seven hits, but he also stuck out eight. As for the other seven outs, one was a ground out and the rest were fly outs. The third inning proved to be Rodriguez's problem as he allowed all five runs in that inning. Greensboro hitters had an RBI triple, an RBI double and a three-run homer in the inning. Craig Baker struck out four in three innings of relief and Will Harris struck out three in 1 1/3 innings. He also allowed the winning run on a homer in the 10th inning.

Asheville hitters struck out 11 times but also walked seven times. Jay Cox had the only extra base hit for the Tourists, a double. Mike Paulk drove in his 34th run and had two hits. Hector Gomez and Daniel Mayora both had two hits in six at-bats, mainly because they didn't walk last night. Matt Repec drove in two runs last night, making that six RBI in five games this season.
