This one's a rematch of the 17 April contest between the two pitchers, only at AT&T Park this time. Cain allowed no runs on two hits in seven innings before the Giants' bullpen came in and, well, failed. You remember, right? It was the 8th inning and the Rockies scored more than one run (five, to be exact). Oh, and Steve Finley hit his first (and more than likely, only) homer of the season in that inning. Hirsh matched Cain's seven innings but also allowed three runs.
Anyone else celebrating Thank the Maker Day or Towel Day? Or am I being that much of a loser?
