Saturday Morning Rockpile:

From the Denver Post:

Garrett Atkins, who's hitting .159 over his last 22 games, won't start for a few days. Colorado manager Clint Hurdle is hoping the time off will do him some good. Atkins came on as a pinch hitter in the eighth and walked.

"He needs a different look," Hurdle said. "Sometimes when you rearrange the furniture in your house, you have to find a different way across the room. I'll give him a couple of days to refresh or rekindle and then we'll get back at it."

The article also says that Matt Holliday is listed as day to day, although the embarrassing details of how his frustration took him out of our lineup come instead from Tracy Ringolsby at the Rocky Mountain News:

Things are so bad that Matt Holliday, the top run producer, was so frustrated after he popped up on the first pitch with one out and runners on first and third in the third inning that he injured himself. When he tried to bang himself on the head with his helmet, he instead slashed his head by hitting it with the bill. While the Rockies downplayed the seriousness of Holliday's injury, it was severe enough that he came out of the game.
