Thursday Morning Swimming Pool:

New, comments

Welcome to Snakepit Day on Purple Row. For those of you late to the party, last year about this time I made a bet with Jim over at SB Nation's D-backs site that Rodrigo Lopez would outperform Livan Hernandez in VORP for 2007. Had Rodrigo been able to start twenty games, it very well could have happened. That was not the case, though, so in accordance with the bet, today becomes our paean to the defending division champs.

Here's how this is going to work:

  1. Diaries submitted by D-backs fans today -so long as they meet community standards other than being Rockies centered- get bumped to the front page.
  2. If you, my fellow Rockies fan, don't think you can withstand the assault of propaganda from one of our primary rivals without getting confrontational in the comments, I encourage you to take a break from PR today. Tomorrow we'll be back to our regularly scheduled Rockies content.
  3. Any comments bringing up "Run Differential" or "Pythagorean Records" will be scrutinized and might very well be deleted.
That's all I can think of right now, I withhold the right to edit or add rules for Snakepit Day as  I see fit, and Russ will do the same. Let's keep it clean, folks. Just remember to ask yourself, what would Jeff Salazar do? Anyway, let's see where this goes.
