Jason Hirsh struggled, Huston Street looked rusty, but the Colorado Rockies did have one standout performance in Thursday's afternoon loss to Chicago White Sox. Franklin Morales pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts in relief or Hirsh and Street, buoying the hopes of Rockies fans that an in house replacement for losing Jeff Francis is close at hand.
The wonder from down under, Shane Lindsay, also pitched well in one inning in the loss, and Omar Quintanilla collected two hits. Jeff Baker doubled and scored the Rockies only run.
