Monday Rockpile: The (Jhoulys) Chacin Train is an express one

Jhoulys Chacin will start against the Diamondbacks today, with Aaron Cook moving to a minor league game on his scheduled day of work. Thomas Harding's piece on Chacin has Bob Apodaca praising Chacin for the maturity he's shown on and off the field. And while we long for Chacin's major league debut, it appears that the Machine's waiting period will be with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, which had long been speculated.

Harding also looks at the three outfielders looking for a spot on the Rockies' bench: Matt Murton, Scott Podsednik, and Dan Ortmeier.

Back in 2007, there was a running joke about having "good" or "bad" Josh Fogg show up in a game. Since Fogg's not going to be in the rotation, we won't make that joke this season, but will we do so with Jorge De La Rosa? Patrick Saunders is keeping watch on the "good" and "bad" Jorge De La Rosa. Or is that "good" De La Rosa and the "meltdown" De La Rosa?
