vs.
At 9-13 and already 6.5 games behind the division lead, it's hard to overlook this game as even remotely unimportant. The Rockies have a chance to win a road series against a formidable divisional rival (the third best in the division by run differential so far) and can show that the promise that what we've been seeing in the Rockies run differential can be translated into meaningful performances. As long as Los Angeles continues on its current pace of going 81-0 in home games this season, the NL West might prove a prize out of reach, but at least the Wild Card still seems within a workable distance:
Woot! Win today and we might be able to pass Houston!
Sarcasm aside, despite being second to the lowest, the Rockies have outscored every opponent they've faced this season except for the Dodgers. It's time to translate that to more wins.
Go Rockies!
