As Poseidon's Fist pointed out this afternoon, with a 4.5 game advantage over the Giants and eighteen games left to play, the only pressure the Rockies face this series is to avoid a sweep at all costs. San Francisco, on the other hand, is in a position where they need everything to go right for three games. With Tim Lincecum throwing at home tonight, one would normally expect this particular game to be a gimme for them, but he's being rushed back from back spasms and the San Francisco offense is going up against Jason Hammel.
Still, the Giants ballboys give the umpires juiced baseballs whenever San Francisco is up to bat and they give baseballs that have been soaking at the bottom of McCovey Cove for a month whenever Giants opponents come to the plate, so you know that the Rockies are probably going to lose this game anyway because the Giants are cheating.*
*-- probably not accurate, but I'd like to see them prove it.
GO ROCKIES!
