Sunday Rockpile: Giants win the pennant

Jim Tracy talked to Troy Renck at the Denver Post about a wide range of issues facing the team, with the focus of the conversation falling mostly on disappointment in the lack of development with Ian Stewart, Seth Smith and Chris Iannetta in 2010.

On Twitter, Renck suggests that Jake Westbrook may be a potential target for the Rockies should the team fail to re-sign Jorge De La Rosa, and advises that they should look at Javier Vazquez as well as a potential rebound candidate with a switch back to the National League.

Speaking of the NL, the League has a new defending champion as of last night and the NL West division once again has a clear token of its superiority to the rest of the league. My reluctant congratulations go to the Giants on their pennant.
