Rockies 6, Indians 3: Rockies, quiet at first, knock Indians around late in game

After being quieted by Carlos Carrasco for four innings, the Rockies opened up this game in the sixth inning with a barrage of hits. Dexter Fowler and Todd Helton started the inning off with back-to-back singles before Troy Tulowitzki singled in Fowler. After Brad Hawpe's groundout advanced the runners, Chris Iannetta rocked a triple to center field to put the Rockies up 4-2. Ian Stewart followed with an RBI groundout. In the bottom of the eight, Paul Phillips walked with the bases loaded to put the score at 6-3.

Jorge De La Rosa started this game and experienced a slight hiccup in the first inning by allowing two runs on a double and a single. After that, DLR settled down over the next four innings. He finished with four hits and two runs over five innings. He walked one and struck out six. Matt Reynolds allowed a run in the eighth inning and eventually loaded the bases. He escaped unscathed, but when you're waiting for Gameday to update it can be a little stressful. Matt Belisle and Randy Flores pitched before Reynolds and each had a scoreless and hitless inning with a strikeout. Justin Speier picked up the save.

In case you missed it, most of the Purple Row staff previewed the Rockies for the SB Nation MLB page.
