Jorge de la Rosa will look to continue his strong spring today at Papago Park, his first appearance since Jim Tracy announced he would start the Home Opener this season. As Rox Girl outlined in the Rockpile, that's quite a rise in prominence over two years ago. It is also his first appearance since his son was reunited with his twin brother at home after spending two months in the hospital due to complications from a premature birth. Hopefully the "belly full of confidence" DLR has shown will continue.
The organization will also get a better idea of who will fill out the front end of the bullpen, as each of the fringe candidates (excluding Joe Beimel) will get a chance to pitch against the A's: Randy Flores, Matt Daley, Manuel Corpas and Justin Speier.
The game will be braodcast on 850 KOA or KTRB out of Oakland. No television unfortunately.
