Know Your Foe #12: Surprising Washington Nationals visit Coors Field to finish season series against Rockies

Thursday-Sunday: 4-game series @ Coors Field

2010 Season Record vs. Rockies: 2-2

When we last saw the Washington Nationals, the Rockies split a four-game series against them back in April. Both teams left the series with 8-8 records. Since then the Rockies have found it hard to gain traction and now stand one game under .500. The Nationals, however, have had two three-game win streaks since facing the Rockies inside the Beltway and stand in second place in the NL East behind the Phillies. The Nats are outperforming their Pythagorean W-L which stands at 15-19 right now, given that they are negative in net runs (144 RS, 160 RA). If what Stu Scott says is right in this clip, I think the Nats are doomed to lose.
