Know Your Foe #49: Rockies Visit The Desert To Whack Some Snakes

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (59-91, 5th NL West, Eliminated long ago)

Last Series vs. Rockies: 0-3 series loss @ Coors Field

Jorge De La Rosa dominated in the first game of the series, striking out 10 and allowing two runs in six innings. The other two were close affairs (even with Ubaldo Jimenez pitching the second game), but the Rockies pulled out victories in both. All three pitching match-ups remain the same from this series with one minor exception. Jhoulys Chacin opposed Ian Kennedy in the Sunday game. In the upcoming series, Jeff Francis pitches instead of Chacin.

Last Two Series Results: 2-2 split with Cincinnati; 0-3 series loss to Pittsburgh

Futility at its finest on display in that series against the Pirates. The two worst teams in the NL . . . and at least the D'Backs kept the games close. Yeah, I just don't care to write all that much about a team losing a series to the Pirates.
