Just your run-of-the-mill Rockies-Giants game at Coors Field.
Short Story of this Game:
Troy Tulowitzki. Carlos Gonzalez. Troy Tulowitzki. Huston Street. Troy Tulowitzki.
Longer Story:
A back and forth game won by the Rockies in extra innings. Troy Tulowitzki was pretty important in this outcome. Esmil Rogers was very bad at his job today. There were 32 hits (19 singles, 5 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 home runs) and 19 runs scored. So, pretty much the opposite of yesterday.
So, with the win Colorado is within 4 games of the division lead (3.5 back of WC) with 8 to play. Crazy stuff needs to happen and the Rockies really can't lose tomorrow against Matt Cain for Rocktober to occur. Capiche?
Things that Troy Tulowitzki didn't do to win this game for Colorado:
...
uh...
Well, he could have ended the game a little earlier if he'd had the common courtesy to hit his 8th inning double about three feet higher. What a jerk.
