According to Tim Dierkes of MLBTradeRumors, the Rockies and third baseman Ian Stewart have reached an agreement for a 2011 contract, avoiding an arbitration hearing. The details and the extent of the agreement aren't currently known. Stewart, as a so-called Super 2, was entering the first of four arbitration eligible seasons.
Stewart hit .256 with 18 home runs and 61 RBI for the Rockies in 2010, posting a wOBA of .337 in 121 games. Stewart was the last of the Rockies arbitration eligible players for 2011.
UPDATE: Troy Renck tweets that Stewart's 2011 contract is for $2,287,500.
