Game 26: Charlie Morton vs. Ubaldo Jimenez

New, 662 comments

Two things about this Sunday afternoon rubber match stand out to me -- one, I want to see if Ubaldo continues the dominant streak he showed last start against the Marlins while at the same time drastically improving his efficiency.

Two, I want to see this Charlie Morton fellow (no, not this one). Morton adopted the motion of Roy Halladay this offseason and has used it pretty effectively so far, generating a 68% ground ball rate while keeping the ball in the yard pretty well (2 HR over 33 IP). Obviously Colorado has the pitching edge here, but so far this season Morton has followed the blueprint to success at Coors Field pretty well (minus a sterling K rate).
