Game 45: Ubaldo Jimenez vs. Randy Wolf

New, 722 comments

So, I feel like I've written this game preview before. Ubaldo Jimenez is still looking for his first win of 2011, it's been a long time since his last one, but he's looked better of late. Yeah, he's struggled, but the Rockies should have the pitching advantage against this opponent. Oh wait, that was May 1st against Charlie Morton and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Colorado lost 8-4.

Fast forward three weeks, and all three points are still true. Randy Wolf and the Brewers are the obstacle between Jimenez and win #1 this week. Wolf is 3-4 with a 4.03/4.68 ERA/FIP for the Brewers. Let's hope that the outcome isn't the same as that game 21 days ago.

WIth a loss, the Rockies would come dangerously close to having a .500 record. So...I'm in favor of winning.
