2011 Rockies Game #104: Jhoulys Chacin vs. Clayton Kershaw

Go ahead...just try to find a better two 23-year-old starting pitchers in the National League than these two. Sure, Kershaw may be one of the best overall pitchers in the game, while we are finding out that Jhoulys is Venezuelan for "base on balls." But even though Chacin is winless in his last six starts, half of which he walked at least six batters, it isn't as if the Dodgers have a huge advantage here.

Chacin has faced the Dodgers more than any MLB team, posting a 2.04 ERA in eight starts (nine appearances), covering 53 IP. Only one Dodger has ever gone yard on him. In fact, Chacin outdueled Kershaw on a Tuesday already this season, tossing seven scoreless innings on April 5.
