Rockies 6, Dbacks 5: Chacin Questionable, Friedrich Solid

The Rockies beat the Diamondbacks in their 2nd Spring Training game today by a score of 6-5. It definitely looked like a Spring Training game, too, as both teams combined for 6 errors, 2 directly leading to runs (1 for each team).

Jhoulys Chacin got the start for Colorado, and didn't have his best stuff. Chacin allowed 3 runs (1ER) over his 2IP of work, while striking out a guy, walking a guy, and allowing a home run. He also had 4 groundouts to 1 flyout, so that's very promising.

Christian Friedrich came in behind Chacin for his own 2 innings, allowing 0 runs on 1 hit and 2 punchouts.

Matt Belisle and Josh Sullivan also tossed scoreless frames, Sullivan getting the win.

It was a game of many heroes. Nolan Arenado and Johnny Herrera both had RBI doubles, Chad Tracy hit a sac fly, and Ben Paulsen, true to Spring Training form, hit a homer and not just any homer, but the kind of homer that when hit in the bottom of the 9th inning breaks a tie and allows the players to simply WALK OFF the field.
