You win some, you lose some, you tie some. After three games in the Cactus League, the Rockies have filled up all three columns of the standings sheet.

Two pitchers acquired via trade this offseason struggled in Mesa against the Cubs. Guillermo Moscoso, sometimes referred to as a favorite for the 5th starter role, made Fangraphs proud by allowing two home runs and four runs in two innings of work. Zach Putnam made his second appearance and coughed up four runs and an Alfonso Soriano dinger. Longball. Tater. Boomskittle. Mashed banger. Chad Bettis also struggled, allowing two runs on two hits in two innings.

Alex White pitched decently, allowing a run on two hits in two innings. Soriano, who wrecked Rockies pitching all day, doubled off White and scored on an Anthony Rizzo single.

Dexter Fowler hit a home run right-handed, Tyler Colvin tripled and singled and Jordan Pacheco singled twice. Jeremy Guthrie will face the Giants tomorrow, backed up with a lineup that will include Todd Helton, Marco Scutaro, Michael Cuddyer and Troy Tulowitzki
