The Rockies have won the 6 games in which they have scored at least 4 runs and lost the other 6. Against Shaun Marcum and the Brewers, scoring 4+ may be a tall task. Marcum is one of those pitchers that has been sneaky effective over the last few years and is underrated by the mainstream. With that said, Marcum is a flyball pitcher that can be prone to the longball, so this would be an excellent time for Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez to go crazy.
Meanwhile, Jhoulys Chacin's rain shortened outing last Saturday was miles better than his home opener meltdown, but he still struggled with control. Against a lineup that includes Ryan Braun and Rickie Weeks, it will be very important for Chacin to minimize the traffic on the bases.
In any case, it should be a competently pitched game with two good offensive lineups.
Automatic overflows will post at 7:15 and 8:45.
