Welcome back, Jeff, and not so welcome back to Dan.
The last time the Rockies faced Haren was on May 27th of that 2010 season, an 8-2 win at Coors Field that saw four Rockies hit home runs off the RHP, albeit only one of those four HR hitters will see Haren today, Carlos Gonzalez (the other three were Troy Tulowitzki, Ryan Spilborghs and Seth Smith.) Cargo had three hits in that game and also hit a HR off Haren at Coors on April 26th that season, so look for Haren to pitch around him today.
Meanwhile, the last time Francis pitched for the Rockies against the Angels was in Anaheim of June 25th that year, a game that the Rockies won 4-3, largely thanks to Francis' pitching and a big day at the plate from catcher Chris Iannetta as well as some Jonathan Herrera clutchiness. Barring a PH appearance, Francis won't have to face his former battery mate today, which might be a good thing. Overall, the Angels are one team Francis has found the most success against, but it's also one of his smallest samples and they have a considerably stronger lineup this season, so I don't know if I'd put any stock into that.
GO ROCKIES!
