Christian Friedrich allowed seven runs in four and a third innings, including giving up three home runs to the Reds in a 9-7 loss for the Rockies on Saturday night. As Troy Renck tweets, the Rockies have to be looking at Alex White's impressive outing at AAA tonight and consider switching Friedrich to piggybacking for awhile:
White has been inconsistent. But was very impressive tonight talking to people there. Could be time to put Friedrich in piggyback role

Rafael Betancourt pitched an inning in the game as trade rumors continue to swirl around the Rockies closer.
D.J. LeMahieu and Josh Rutledge paced the Rockies with three hits apiece, while Carlos Gonzalez and Michael Cuddyer added two each, with Cuddyer hitting his 15th home run of the season. While Rutledge remains hot, Wilin Rosario went 0 for 5 and has been slumping since the start of the Rockies last road trip, going 2 for his last 20.
