Rockies 2012 Game #102: Jake Westbrook vs. Drew Pomeranz

A former Rockies #1 draft pick takes on a former Indians #1 draft pick.... it's funny to realize which is which with these two pitchers.

The Rockies have lost four straight, six straight at home, and are looking to avoid another sweep from a good NL Central team. Most exciting for today will be hoping for a rebound outing from Drew Pomeranz, who has not been especially sharp since his start on July 6th against the Nationals.

Jake Westbrook is having his best season in a St. Louis uniform. While the starter is still hittable, as he has been his entire career, he is boasting lower than normal home run and walk rates, and is striking out nearly one batter more per nine innings than he has in his career previous.
