Rockies 2012 Game #115: Mark Rogers vs. Guillermo Moscoso

Last Wednesday, the Rockies were looking for their first three-game sweep of the year. Today, they're looking for it again. Today's pitchers are a pair of guys who have spent most of the year with their AAA affiliates.

Guillermo Moscoso returns to the Rockies for the first time since June, when he was working a piggyback relief role as Project 5183 was just beginning. Moscoso has two previous starts for the Rockies, early in the year in April and May, neither of which were especially impressive. All of Moscoso's peripherals are much higher with the Rockies this year than his small sample size of a career line. He spent July and the beginning of August in the Sky Sox rotation, pitching generally to various degrees of mediocrity. Home runs continue to be his weakest point.

Mark Rogers

#37 / Pitcher / Milwaukee Brewers

2012 - Mark Rogers 0-1 4.08 1.13 20 4

Mark Rogers will be making his sixth major league start, fourth in 2012. Having replaced Zack Greinke in the Milwaukee rotation, he has demonstrated decent control and an excellent strikeout rate, but has been hittable, trends which seems to be reflected in his MiLB career numbers as well.
