While many of us rarely take the time to venture over to the NBA side of SB Nation, the SBN family suffered a great loss today. Tim Allen, one of the leads over at Canis Hoopus, our Minnesota Timberwolves blog, has passed on at age 29.

Much as we all love to talk about our respective favorite sports, for better or for worse, it's moments like these that abruptly remind us of the fragility of life and the fact that at the other end of our articles, of our comments, is another person, another human being.
