After a disappointing series opener in which the Rockies were stifled by Patrick Corbin in a 5-1 loss, they will turn to their Opening Day starter, Jhoulys Chacin, as they look to even the series.

Chacin will be looking to rebound as well from his last start in which he allowed eight earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, squandering a 6-0 Rockies lead in the process. Despite the rough outing last time out, Chacin has been more good than bad this season, with a 4.07 ERA through his first seven starts.

Arizona will also have its Opening Day starter on the mound in Ian Kennedy. After a stellar season in 2012, Kennedy has had an uneven start to 2013, with a 4.88 ERA so far this season.

Kennedy allowed three runs in six innings in a start against the Rockies on April 19, but was out-dueled by Chacin who tossed 6 1/3 shutout innings in a 3-1 Rockies win.
