Coming off a four-game series split against the San Diego Padres, the Colorado Rockies host the first of three against the Washington Nationals.

The Nationals, who enter the game at 31-31, will give the ball to veteran righty Dan Haren tonight, and judging by his stats this season and recent history at Coors Field, the Rockies will be running to the bat rack to get a chance to face him.

Haren enters the game with a 5.45 ERA in 67 2/3 innings this season and has allowed an National League high 15 home runs this season. He leads all of baseball with 2.00 home runs allowed per nine innings. In his last two starts at Coors Field, he has pitched 11 2/3 innings, allowed 20 hits, 12 earned runs (9.25 ERA), and a whopping eight home runs, including a pair to Carlos Gonzalez and one each to Troy Tulowitzki and Tyler Colvin, all of whom are in the Rockies lineup tonight.

The Rockies will counter with Jhoulys Chacin. Chacin has struggled recently, without a win since April 19 and without a quality start since May 21. He has allowed five earned runs in each of his last two starts. Tonight he will face a Nationals lineup without Bryce Harper, who is on the DL.

Tyler Colvin gets his first start of 2013, playing right field and batting seventh. DJ LeMahieu gets the start at second base tonight.
