About 24 hours after drafting Oklahoma Sooners RHP Jonathan Gray with the No. 3 overall pick, the Colorado Rockies and their fans will get a look at the pitcher when he takes the mound against the No. 4 national seed LSU Tigers in the Baton Rouge, La., super regional of the 2013 NCAA Baseball Tournament. Game time is set for 5 p.m. MT on ESPN.

Gray, family members, and coaches spoke shortly after the selection was made:

Gray, 6'4" and 239 pounds, enters the game with a 10-2 record and a 1.59 ERA in 16 starts (four CG, two SHO). He's struck out 138, walked 22 and allowed just 78 hits in 119 innings. He reportedly tested positive for Adderall, according to an ESPN report. It has not affected his eligibility.

The LSU Tigers will put their ace on the mound, top 2014 prospect RHP Aaron Nola (brother of Austin Nola, whom the Rockies drafted some years back as a high schooler who went on to LSU). Nola is 11-0 with a 1.82 ERA in 15 starts. He's struck out 111 in 109 innings and allowed 76 hits. He recently finished sixth in Golden Spikes voting.
