MLB Scores: Rockies 3, Dodgers 1

Unless you are Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki or Michael Cuddyer, who will be headed to the All-Star festivities this week, it's time to relax. The Rockies picked up a much needed win on Sunday against the Dodgers to head into the All-Star break on a positive note.

The Rockies have struggled of late, but splitting a four game series with the red hot Dodgers in L.A. was certainly impressive. Michael Cuddyer proved once again why he belongs in the All-Star game by driving in all three Rockies' runs. His fifth inning two-run home run proved to be the difference and gave Jhoulys Chacin his ninth win of the season.

Chacin pitched effectively for six innings allowing just one run in earning his ninth win of the year. Chacin was aided by some excellent outfield defense from both CarGo and Dexter Fowler, both of whom made several wonderful running catches.

The killer B's: Brothers, Belisle, and Betancourt all threw perfect innings to keep preserve the Rockies win. It was Betancourt's 15th save.

Couple the Rockies' win with Arizona's loss and Colorado is just 4.5 games back headed into the break at 46-50.
