It was a good night at Coors Field. The Rockies kicked butt, the Dodgers were mediocre, and Colorado picked up a game in the National League West.

Jhoulys Chacin went 5 and 2/3 spotty innings, but he held the opposition to to two runs. The bullpen didn't blow up (may wonders never cease) and the offense provided plenty of steam to propel the Rockies to an encouraging win.

Hope you enjoyed the 4th, maybe you even set off some fireworks without setting anything on fire. The Rockies are still in the NL West hunt. Happy Independence Day.
