This road trip has already been more succesful for the Rockies than their last one. Tonight Juan Nicasio takes the mound to try and take two games in a road series, something that the team was unsuccessful doing twice in Baltimore last weekend.
Juan is 7-6 with a 4.94 ERA, but has proven, mostly, to be a much better starter since his brief stint in AAA this year. It will be interesting to see if he can continue this trend.
Countering for the Phillies will be Cliff Lee who is 10-6 with a 3.19 ERA on the season. Unlike Nicasio, Lee had a great start and has tailed off some since the end of June, averaging a half run more per nine innings. That still is an ERA of less than 3.60 though and he could give the Rockies fits with their predominance in not hitting left handed pitching.
