Rockies look to win series against Giants on forgettable road trip.

Denis Poroy

The Rockies were able to come from behind and win their first game of this road trip last night. Today they look to win a series which would be good since they travel to Arizona where all of their road trips have gone to die this year.Unfortunately, they face the Giants Yusmeiro Petit who is 3-0 and was one pitch from a perfect game in his last outing. In his only appearance against the Rockies this year he gave up two runs and earned the win as the Rockies lost 5-3 on August 27.

For the Rockies, Juan Nicasio will try and continue his dominance of San Francisco. In four games against them this year he is 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA. The team overall is 2-2 in his four starts with his only bad outing being his first game of the year against them when he gave up four runs in five innings.
