Saturday Rockpile links, 3/15: Renck analyzes Butler, Gray

Here's your daily dose of Rockies and MLB links.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Rockies Links:

In The Denver Post, Troy Renck takes a look at the recent rough outing for Eddie Butler and Jon Gray, painting them as a learning experience for the two young pitchers about facing Major League opposition.

Purple Row's Bryan Kilpatrick did an interview with Razzball, taking a look at the 2014 Rockies from a fantasy baseball perspective. He spent some time trying to figure out who will get at bats in center field and discussed Nolan Arenado's potential as a fantasy sleeper, among other things.

Around MLB:

Sports Illustrated worked with architecture firm Populous, which has designed several current MLB stadiums, to take a look at what the ballpark might look like in 20 years, especially interesting from a Rockies perspective because the 2030s could very well be when the team looks to replace Coors Field.

Finally, Beyond the Box Score takes a look at the year in third basemen, focusing more on the offensive side of the ball.
