Today is Jorge de la Rosa's final Spring Training start before Opening Day in Miami, and he could probably use a good one. Jorge has gotten knocked around a bit this spring, so everyone would feel easier if his last practice start was a sharp one. Not that spring stats matter. Keep repeating that.

He'll face a credible test as the Giants are trotting out a good lineup, minus Pablo Sandoval. A Pagan-Morse-Belt-Posey-Pence top 5 will be difficult to navigate.

The Rockies are resting Justin Morneau and Michael Cuddyer, while Wilin Rosario sits out with a bruised calf. Today is probably the last day for Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson to make their cases, as it appears that one will make the 25 man roster while one will start in AAA. It's been a spirited competition this spring, and the Rockies face a tough choice.

The dynamic duo of Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki are in there, always a heartwarming sight. Nolan Arenado is batting behind them, so hopefully he'll have some opportunities with runners on base. C Michael McKenry, 1B Ryan Wheeler, and 2B Paul Janish round out the bottom of the order, and each of them are trying to establish their utility for the final roster.

They are going to be facing Matt Cain, a notorious Rockie killer and a pitcher primed for a bounce back season after a 4.00 ERA and 0.5 rWAR 2013. The Rockies will try to make sure he enters the season with visions of base hits still dancing in his head.

5 days.
