The Rockies lineup will be back to full strength this afternoon as Troy Tulowitzki and Wilin Rosario, who both missed last night's game with injuries, return to take on Matt Cain and the San Francisco Giants.
With the right-handed Cain on the mound, Justin Morneau and Charlie Blackmon return to the lineup as well in place of Michael Cuddyer and Drew Stubbs. With the changes, Charlie Culberson is the only Rockies position player not to start either game of the series.
On the mound for Colorado is southpaw Brett Anderson, making his third start in a Rockies uniform. Anderson has been good but not great in his first two starts of 2014, allowing three earned runs in six innings in each of them.
For the Giants, Buster Posey will return to the lineup, at first base, after sitting out last night, moving Brandon Belt to the bench. Angel Pagan is also back in center field for San Francisco.
As for Cain, he struggled in his last start, allowing five runs on six hits, including three home runs, in a loss at Dodger Stadium He has a 5.73 ERA this season.
