Saturday Rockpile: Winning by a lot is fun

Tulo, winning, and Colorado grass

Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Lots of excited news about everyone doing well last night for the Rockies.  It is what happens when the team is on cruise control by the fourth inning, Troy Tulowitzki gets a triple away from a cycle, and Tyler Chatwood does not give up an earned run in seven innings.

I am sure this article has great information from the game that only a paid journalist could put together, but I wouldn't know because apparently I have again read too many free articles on denverpost.com this month.  I know there are ways to delete cookies to see the articles, but I really am not that interested...if you work at the denver post, stop this poor attempt to make money.

Thomas Harding's article on the game is a great piece on last night's game and I could read it without being blocked for visiting the website too often.

Tracy Ringolsby is able to take his knowledge of the team and give great insight into Tulowitzki on a night where he was on fire.  Also let's us know that Walt Weiss asked Tulo about the cycle before replacing him with Josh Rutledge.

Interesting articles that gives hope for Wilin Rosario continuing to polish the defensive side of his game, but I was surprised that Dave Cameron made no mention of the baby bull.

Rick Reilly's article is journalism, I am just not sure it is sport's journalism.  Like it or not, though, this will be a story all season for a multitude of reasons.
